Case Study: Aqua Dudes. Cartoonish Packaging Design for Fish Food Brand

Dive into the sea of fun with our fresh graphic design project: check the case in which we worked on a vibrant packaging design as a part of the visual identity for a brand of fish food.

The project was accomplished by tubik designers Vlad Radionov and Yaroslava Yatsuba, with art direction by Sergii Valiukh.

The creative team got the task of making a consistent design concept for different types of packaging for pet fish food. Each container had to get the original look, and together they had to be united into one integral design system, which would strengthen brand awareness and would be easy to recognize on both store shelves and e-commerce web pages. In addition, the general design approach was based on sharing cheerful emotions with pet fish owners who would buy the production of this brand.

This project is another case demonstrating the power of original illustrations used in packaging design and marketing graphics. To make the containers and boxes playful and emotional, the team created a bunch of funny cartoonish images with fish characters and catchy graphic details. The color palette uses a set of bright, clean colors creating nice attractive contrast and a vivid, lively visual style. The typographic approach is grounded on simple, stylish, highly readable sans-serif fonts that also set the pleasant contrast to the joyful playfulness of illustrations and let buyers quickly see the brand name and primary information about the type of pet food and fish it is aimed for.
