This graphic design project is about love, tenderness, romance, and affection associated with Saint Valentine’s Day. In this case study, we invite you to glance at a sophisticated gift box we designed for the marketing campaign devoted to this theme.
The project was accomplished by tubik designers Maryna Solomennykova and Anastasiia Zhyltsova, with art direction by Vlad Radionov.
The idea behind the marketing campaign was to offer the buyers a set of items arranged together as a gift with some romantic vibes. The set included such pleasant little signs of affection as chocolate bars, scented candles, romantic greeting cards, and a box of condoms.
So, all the items in the gift boxes had to reflect one style and feel like an integral present. So, apart from the colors and typography, the creative team decided to employ artistic line illustrations of loving couples as one more visual identity element. The illustrations are almost monochromatic, black and white, with minor colored details.
The color palette is based on a bold and highly contrastive combination of colors: white, black, red, and blue. The typographic approach also plays with contrast, pairing the neat, readable sans-serif fonts with some elements of handwriting style.
